Tasting Notes.Müller-ThurgauMarion's Müller Thurgau is a cross of Slyvaner/Riesling that is widely planted in cooler parts of Europe, New Zealand and North America. It's blended with Gewürztraminer to enhance the spicy fruit flavours and add to the complex fruit character of the wine. It has a floral fruity bouquet that follows through the palate with a lingering spicy acid finish. "It's a fruit salad with a grapefruit finish". Excellent accompaniment to all spicy foods, seafood and soups. A refreshing drink anytime of the year with or without food. |
ChardonnayMarion's Chardonnay is a well structured wine with a lengthy finish. Fermented and matured in French oak barrels, it exhibits a balance of fruit, wood and acid, easily adding a special dimension to the pleasure of fine foods and good company. Try with seafood, poultry, pork, spicy dishes and cheeses. |
Pinot NoirMarion's '96 Pinot Noir was matured in heavy toasted French oak barrels for two years before blending and bottling. The wine is exhibiting lovely gamey, mature characters on the palate and aroma, integrated with berry flavours, with a lengthy finish. It's a lighter style to our usual Pinot because of the cool year. Cellaring potential at least 3 more years.
Ready to enjoy now with cheeses, all kinds of meat and some fish dishes. |
